Key accountabilities:

  • Develop working software across the full stack (end to end) according to requirements and development standards
  • Contribute to feature and solution design with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Assist the support and customer success team with diagnosing issues with the software and providing guidance or helping with appropriate fixes
  • Provide mentoring and guidance for junior developers in any areas of expertise
  • Continually improve domain and technical knowledge through professional development
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies
  • Complete assigned development tasks
  • Raise blockers and issues associated with assigned tasks
  • Monitor support channels for customer issues and queries
  • Increase quality of the codebase
  • Review and provide constructive feedback of code from other developers
  • Deliver code with supporting technical documentation where required


Skills required:

  • Good understanding of a web development language such as Ruby and Typescript
  • Good understanding of MVC development frameworks, such as Rails
  • CSS, HTML and Javascript Knowledge
  • Good understanding of a frontend web framework such as React
  • An understanding of software version control, specifically with git
  • Knowledge of programming principles such as OOP and unit testing
  • Proficiency with any RDBMS (we use Postgres)
  • Understanding of agile methodologies
  • Experience working with a web development framework or SaaS application
  • Experience working in a team using tools such as GitHub and JIRA
