QA Engineer

About the role:

We love to build software that helps communities thrive so we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer that will work in the Agile team to ensure we produce a high-quality, reliable product that our customers love.

You will get to: 

  • Review and implement systematic test procedures and scripts
  • Document and evaluate test results
  • Help troubleshoot errors and report bugs and defects
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to drive QA efforts
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing constructive input
  • Investigate process improvement to deliver high-quality software products and services successfully and consistently
  • Co-operate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting.
  • Work towards automating frequent tests and extending automated test coverage of systems
  • Continuously take initiative to implement best practice
  • Suggest solutions to identified product problems
  • Identify KPIs for software product quality
  • Ensure QA is completed within the Sprint timebox

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills
  • You can demonstrate your ability for innovation in a fast-paced team environment
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You strive to meet deadlines and know how to follow instructions
  • You are self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • You have knowledge of agile development frameworks
  • You know when and how to apply various testing approaches (functional and non-functional)
  • You understand Australian labour markets and the global education and employment landscapes (beneficial but not required)
  • You have 2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
  • You have a working knowledge of programming languages
  • You have experience with automated testing tools (Cypress preferred)
  • You have a demonstrated ability to produce and maintain high-quality documentation
  • You have received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or demonstrated relevant learning
