The key accountabilities of the role:
- Creation and delivery of high-quality, engaging educational content in various formats, tailored for diverse internal audiences (technical and non-technical) covering relevant internal AI developments and external tools/platforms.
- Successful implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of enablement programs and initiatives focused on emerging technologies, including AI.
- Proactive exploration, evaluation, and internal championing of relevant external AI, productivity, and emerging technology tools.
- Growth, engagement, health, and positive tone of Readytech's internal AI Guild and related technical communities.
- Effective onboarding, enablement, and continuous learning support for internal teams across all Readytech products and segments, helping them leverage new tools and capabilities.
- Accuracy, clarity, and user-friendliness of technical and user-focused documentation and learning resources supporting both specific tools and broader understanding of emerging tech.
- Representation of the internal user voice (technical and non-technical), providing actionable feedback from the community to the Emerging Technology team and other relevant stakeholders.
The key responsibilities of the role:
- Develop and produce engaging educational content in various formats (e.g., video tutorials, written guides, workshops, podcasts, demos, articles, presentations, blog posts) covering both internal Emerging Tech innovations and relevant external tools/platforms.
- Design, implement, and contribute to learning initiatives and pathways focused on emerging technologies (including AI) for various roles across Readytech, utilising diverse educational mechanisms.
- Actively research, experiment with, and evaluate external AI tools, platforms, and productivity enhancers relevant to Readytech's engineers, product managers, and other roles.
- Create compelling content (reviews, comparisons, how-to guides, demos, blog posts) based on external tool exploration to educate, inspire, and share findings with the Emerging Tech team and the wider Readytech community.
- Actively build, manage, and nurture Readytech's internal AI Guild and related community channels (e.g., Slack). This includes stimulating discussion, actively moderating, identifying and empowering champions, and developing strategies for growth and engagement.
- Organise and facilitate community events (e.g., virtual meetups, Q&A sessions, 'show & tell' presentations) to foster knowledge sharing and connection.
- Design and deliver targeted learning experiences and resources (workshops, tutorials, guides, office hours) to enhance practical tool usage, particularly for non-technical staff.
- Author, update, and improve user-focused documentation and learning collateral for internal tools and recommended external technologies, ensuring accessibility for intended audiences.
- Actively gather, synthesise, and relay feedback from the internal community (technical and nontechnical) regarding tools, content needs, learning experiences, and community health.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across all Readytech products and segments to understand needs and tailor content/engagement accordingly.
- Be a visible, available, and engaging point of contact for internal users seeking to learn about or adopt new AI and related technologies.
The key requirements for the role:
- Excellent Communication & Storytelling: Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly, concisely, and engagingly (including through data visualisation) to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical) through various mediums.
- Versatile Content Creation: Proven ability to create clear, high-quality technical and user-focused content across multiple formats (written, video, audio, presentations).
- Rapid Technical Aptitude & Curiosity: Ability to quickly learn, understand, and become fluent in new technologies (especially AI) and a strong, demonstrable desire to explore, tinker, and teach others.
- Community Building & Management: Demonstrated ability to foster, grow, and moderate online communities, encouraging positive interaction and knowledge sharing.
- High Drive & Initiative: A proactive, self-starter attitude with a "maker" mentality – enjoys building understanding, sharing knowledge, and getting things done.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities, ambiguity, and deadlines.
- Engaging Presentation & Facilitation Skills: Comfortable presenting to groups, leading workshops, and facilitating discussions (online and potentially in-person to internal and external audiences).
- Software Development Fundamentals: A foundational understanding of software development principles and lifecycles sufficient to communicate effectively with engineers and understand technical context.
- AI/ML Concepts: A demonstrated strong interest and practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts and their applications.
- Modern Tech Landscape: Familiarity with the current landscape of popular Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude), collaboration platforms (e.g., Miro, Slack), and common productivity software.
- Familiarity with content creation/editing tools (video, audio, design).
- (Nice to have) Understanding of basic instructional design, technical training or developer relations principles.
- Relevant Background: Experience in a role involving technical content creation, community engagement/management, technical training/enablement, developer advocacy, technical product marketing, or similar.
- Working with Technical & Non-Technical Teams: Experience collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders, including engineers and business users.
- Proven track record of independently exploring new technologies and creating content (blogs, videos, tutorials) about them.
- Experience actively participating in and managing online technical communities (e.g., Discord, Slack, forums).
