As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing features for our education products. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including technical leads, product managers, and product designers, to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Our main technology stack includes Python, FastAPI, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, MySQL and AWS.
Accountabilities:
- Develop working software across the full stack (end to end) according to requirements and development standard
- Contribute to feature and solution design with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Assist the support and customer success team with diagnosing issues with the software and providing guidance or helping with appropriate fixes
- Provide mentoring and guidance for developers in any areas of expertise
- Continually improve domain and technical knowledge through professional development
Skills required:
- Python, FastAPI,React and Postgres
- Solid understanding of backend development. Ability to design and maintain robust and scalable server-side applications.
- Proficient in modern front-end frameworks and libraries for building user interfaces. React and Next.js are preferred
- Familiarity with core programming principles, including Object Oriented Programming (OOP), unit testing, and design patterns to ensure clean, maintainable code
- Competent with software version control systems, particularly Git, including experience with collaborative workflows such as branching, merging, and pull requests
- Understanding of agile development practices, with experience in participating in iterative development cycles and team ceremonies
